Clothing Sample Making in China
Evaluate the fit, fabric and details of your design before placing a bulk order.
Your design needs to work as a finished garment. The fabric should feel and look right, the fit should match your vision, and the details should work together. A clothing sample lets you evaluate those decisions before ordering a batch.
SWIFORT arranges clothing sample making in China as a step towards bulk production. Review the garment, carry out a fitting and describe the changes you need using a physical reference.
What to assess before a bulk order
- Fit and proportions. Review garment and sleeve length, volume and the position of construction lines.
- Fabric. Assess its texture, feel and drape in the chosen design.
- Construction and details. Check seams, pockets, fastenings, trims and other elements included in your brief.
- Branding. Review the position of prints, embroidery, logos and labels where they are included in the agreed sample specification.
Use a checklist based on your design requirements during the review. Clear comments help the factory understand what needs to change, where the change is needed and what result you expect.
How to get started
Send photographs or sketches of the design, the required sample size, key measurements and fabric requirements. Let us know if you have patterns, a tech pack, fabric swatches or an existing garment to use as a reference. Identify the details that matter most to your brand and your intended bulk order quantity.
After the fitting and sample review, you can refine the production brief. A reviewed garment provides a practical basis for discussing fit, finishing and the specifications of the future batch.
